Rabies vaccination clinics — Summit County Public Health is offering low-cost rabies vaccinations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 6 at Lock 3 Park, 200 S. Main St., Akron; also, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 20 at Reservoir Park Community Center, 1735 Hillside Terrace, Akron. Vaccinations for dogs and cats cost $8 per animal.
Primping for Pets — 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 6 at Primp the Hair Salon, 139 Ghent Road, Fairlawn. Primp stylists will cut hair for the cause. All haircuts will be done for a $20 minimum donation (please come with shampooed hair. Offer good for haircuts only). One of a Kind Pet Rescue will be on site with some of their furry friends, all available for adoption on-site.
