Rabies vaccination clinics — Summit County Public Health is offering low-cost rabies vaccinations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Sagamore Hills Park Service Garage, 11550 W. Valley View Road, and at the same times May 10 at Springfield Township Fire Station, 2459 Canfield Road. Pet Guards will administer the vaccination for dogs and cats for $8 per animal. Other vaccines and services will also be provided at reduced prices.
Bark in the Park Pledge Walk & Pet Expo — 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 10 at Springfield Lake Park, 2459 Canfield Road. One-mile walk for pets and their humans to aid PAWSibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and the walk begins at noon. Registration fee is $5. Children under 12 are free. There is no fee for pets. Proceeds go to help animals that are victims of cruelty/neglect, illness/injury, and provide adoption services, education & community outreach programs. Quick Fix Spay/Neuter Month of May Special — Quick Fix Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic is celebrating Cinco de Mayo by offering $5 off all spays and neuters for cats and dogs during the month of May. Regular rates for female cat spays $50, male cat neuters $35, all female and male dogs are priced according to their weight and start at $75 for males and $85 for females.
