Secret Keeper Girl program coming to Wooster

The Secret Keeper Girl Crazy Hair Tour is coming to the Wooster Church of the Nazarene, 3100 Oak Hill Road, in Wooster on May 16.

The two-and-a-half hour program is a Bible-based, relationship-building experience for mothers and ’tween girls (typically between the ages of eight and 12) that aims to help them cope with peer and cultural pressures. It includes a fashion show, Bible teaching, games and conversation time for mothers and daughters that teach and model modest values.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Group rates are also available. For more information, call 330-262-1471 or go to www.secretkeepergirl.com.

Akron Pregnancy Services — 105 E. Market St., Akron. 10 a.m. May 17. The annual Intercede 4 Life walk will be held, celebrating 30 years of ministry. Registration starts at 9 a.m. at the grass lot at Summit and East Market streets. Children’s activities and music will precede the walk. Participants will walk to Charles Goodyear Park for a brief time of prayer and may tour the ministry offices at the conclusion of the walk. It is the ministry’s largest fundraiser. The Chapel in Marlboro — 8700 state Route 619, Marlboro Township. Evangelical pastors from around Stark County will meet for lunch on Friday. Pastors United is an effort spearheaded with the help of the Rev. Walter Moss, pastor of Canton Four Square Church. It will bring together pastors, transcending ethnicity, race and secondary doctrines. The Rev. Rob Cochran, pastor of the Chapel, will address the group on the importance of unity and threats to the Gospel message in contemporary society. 330-935-0132.

The Chapel in Marlboro — 8700 state Route 619, Marlboro Township. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 16-18. Football Skills Camp will be offered for grades 8-11, featuring former college coaches Jim Dennison and Jim Tressel. Early registration deadline is May 30 and cost for the camp is $25. From May 31 to June 9, it will be $35. No registrations accepted after June 9. Includes lineman skills, footwork, kicking, ball handling, positive thinking and leadership training. Lunch included. Christ is the Answer Ministries — 379 E. South St., Akron. On Sunday, the church will celebrate eight years at its current location. At 9:15 a.m., Christian Ed will host the 100 Disciple Challenge.
