Q.: Can I substitute agave nectar for honey in baking?
— Linda Bunyan, Akron
A.: Yes, they will substitute fine. Use 1 cup of agave for every 1 cup of honey called for in a recipe.
Remember, agave is sweeter than honey, so the flavors of your finished baked good may not be exactly the same.
Also, according to www.allaboutagave.com, agave syrup may cause baked items to brown more quickly, so reduce oven temperatures by 25 degrees and increase baking time slightly to prevent over-browning.
