Grammy Award-winning Mandisa and Third Day to perform at The FEST

Grammy Award-winning artists Mandisa and Third Day will perform Sunday at The FEST, an outdoor Christian festival sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland that attracts 35,000 people.

The FEST, in its 14th year, is a free, one-day outdoor event that runs from noon to 11 p.m. at the Center for Pastoral Leadership, 28700 Euclid Ave. in Wickliffe. It includes activities for all ages and opportunities for spiritual growth.

The Marc’s Mom’s Relaxation Station will include more than 150,000 giveaways, mini-retreats, massages and makeovers. The Dad’s Den will offer opportunities to win a Cub Cadet riding mower and to meet former Cleveland Browns players. A variety of activities will be available for children and families with special needs.

The FEST Youth Rally, which begins at 3 p.m., will include a concert with Lee Roessler and a talk on St. John Paul II and prayer with his relics. Other activities include a petting zoo and BMX show. A grand raffle features 20 prizes, including a new car, cash, loge accommodations at a Cleveland Indians game, and a vacation to Cancun or Punta Cana or Riviera Maya.

Mandisa, a Season 5 American Idol finalist and five-time Grammy nominee, has become a voice of encouragement for people facing challenges in life. She will perform on the main stage at 4:30 p.m. Also performing on the main stage will be Nellie Cruz at noon; The Symbol at 12:30 p.m.; For King & Country at 1:30 p.m. and Colton Dixon at 3 p.m.

Third Day, a multiplatinum selling rock band, will headline the concert series at 6 p.m. An outdoor Mass is at 8 p.m. and fireworks will begin at 10 p.m.

Must bring photo ID, patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a valid photo ID, annual income at or below 200 percent of poverty level, must sign an affidavit noting monthly income and lack of insurance. The care center is open to all qualified patients, regardless of religious beliefs. Pastor support and counseling are available to those who desire it.
