Feral Cat Spay & Neuter Spring Fling — One of a Kind Spay & Neuter Clinic, 1700 W. Exchange St., Akron, is offering $15 spay/neuter procedures for feral cats for a limited time. Limit two feral cats per family per day/four per week. First-come, first-served. Process will continue as long as funds are available. Procedure includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination and mandatory ear tip. No owned cats allowed, and all cats must be brought in using a secure humane box trap. Feral cats may be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, no appointment necessary. www.oneofakindpets.com.

Bark-a-Paw-Looza — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Schneider Community Park, 1714 Schneider St. NE, Canton. Free or low-cost services and goods to raise awareness of health and wellness of humans and pets, responsible dog ownership and fundraising for the dog park. Pets will be on site for adoption. Akron Zoo Hosts Princess and Pirate Night — 6-9 p.m. July 26 at the zoo, 500 Edgewood Ave., Akron. Children can come dressed in their best princess gown or pirate garb and go on an adventure throughout the zoo. To go along with the theme of princesses and pirates, the zoo will highlight frogs and parrots. The Radio Disney Junior Road Crew will set-up a princess and pirate area including music, games and prizes. Also throughout the evening, princesses and pirates attending the event can enjoy face painting, bouncy houses and crafts. $12, $14 for children; for zoo members $7, $9 for children. Rabies vaccination clinics — Summit County Public Health is offering low-cost rabies vaccinations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 9 at Twinsburg City Police Department, Maintenance Garage, 10075 Ravenna Road. Vaccinations for dogs and cats $8 per animal.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Creature Comforts Event — 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at 3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland. Special Creature Comforts activities are scheduled throughout the day. Check www.clevelandmetroparks.com/zoo for a list of activities. Animal keepers will be on hand to explain the enrichment activities and the natural behaviors they promote. Wayne County Humane Society Paws in the Park Pawty — Noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 17 at Freelander Park, 400 Hillside Drive, Wooster. You and your dog can walk the trails, swim in the pool and take part in the games and demonstrations. Proof of rabies vaccination and dog license required.
