Today

CMTA Night at Akron RubberDucks — 7 p.m. at Canal Park, 300 S. Main St., Akron. See the RubberDucks play the Erie SeaWolves, and help raise awareness and funds for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease research. The inherited disorders affect the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. Tickets are $9 each. $6 of every ticket will be donated to the CMT association’s research program to find a cure. The group will donate proceeds from a raffle auction on the concourse. Tuesday

Change for Change — 4:30-7 p.m. at Rockne’s Pub, 7 Merriman Road, Akron. All tips collected will benefit Pregnancy Care of Summit & Portage County. More information at www.pregnancycareonline.org/events.html.

Wednesday

Chefs Who Care — 5 p.m. at Blue Canyon Restaurant, 8960 Wilcox Drive, Twinsburg. PAWSibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron and Blue Canyon Restaurant will raise funds through an after-work cocktail hour, with hors d’oeuvres, adoptable animals, 50/50 raffle and live auction. Cleveland Arts Prize 54th annual Awards Ceremony — 6:30 p.m. in Gartner Auditorium of Cleveland Museum of Art, 11150 East Boulevard. Tickets are $75 or $125. Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens 2014 Gala Grand Voyage — 6 p.m. at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, 714 N. Portage Path, Akron. Inspired by the 2014 theme for the estate, An Influential Journey, Gala 2014 will chart a course reminiscent of journey at sea and will include food and dancing. Individual tickets start at $300, corporate tables of 10 start at $3,500. Ken Stewart’s Lodge Guest Servers Benefiting Child Guidance & Family Solutions — 7-10 p.m. at Ken Stewart’s Lodge, 1911 N. Cleveland-Massillon Road, Bath Township. Guest staff will be Russ Pry, Susan Flowers, Sylvia Trundle, Patrick Bravo, Elaine Harlin and Ken Ditlevson. Five percent of the bar and special reservation sales and 50 percent of the bartenders’ tips will benefit Child Guidance & Family Solutions. Sixth annual Kick-It for Kids Kickball Game — 10:30 a.m. at Montgomery House, 3689 Cherry Hill, Rootstown. The Montgomery family is hosting the kick-it game to raise $5,000 for pediatric cancer research. There will be a bake sale and a Little Kickers game. $10 per player. Fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House of Akron — 4-8 p.m. at Beachy’s, 115 Andreas Drive NE, Sugarcreek. All tips earned by the servers will go to the Ronald McDonald House. There will be face painting, a balloon pop for prizes and raffles.

Akron South High Alumni (1910-1980) A Blue and White Affair — 6 p.m. at St. George Fellowship Center, 3204 Ridgewood Road, Copley Township. A benefit for the scholarship fund, with a buffet dinner. Third annual Chef Tray Oak Clinic MS Benefit Fundraiser — 3-7 p.m. at Getaway Pub, 1462 N. Portage Path, Akron. A spaghetti dinner will be served, and bands will provide musical entertainment. 30th annual Ronald McDonald House Charity Golf Outing — Monday at Brookside Country Club, 1800 Canton Ave. NW, Canton. Tee times at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. $375 per golfer, includes golf and cart, lunch and dinner, and golfer’s gift. There will be a silent auction before the dinner. The Arc of Summit and Portage Counties 25th annual Benefit Golf Scramble — Thursday at Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club, 1101 Barlow Road, Hudson. 8 a.m. registration, 9 a.m. shotgun start. $90 per person includes 18 holes of golf with cart, range balls, Continental breakfast, lunch and a dinner provided by Texas Roadhouse in Stow. Prize packages will be awarded to the top three teams. Prize drawings and a $10,000 hole-in-one contest are also included. All proceeds will be used to benefit the people served through the Arc. Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing — Friday at Fox Den Golf Course, 2770 Call Road, Stow. 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. $95 per golfer includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, BBQ dinner, beverages, prizes, skill events and a raffle.
