The Beacon Journal asked readers to share their thoughts on products being tested for our “Does It Work?” series. Here’s what they had to say:

Trusty Cane

“My husband has the Trusty Cane and it does not stand alone and he has trouble with the light coming on; he must hold it the wrong way after awhile. He has arthritis in his hand. We thought about taking out the battery.”

Shirley Tucker,

Akron

“The Trusty Cane is one of the best investments I have ever made. The base does pivot, and works good on snow. With three LED lights, it is very handy when dark.”

David Carmany,

Kent

“It does not live up to the advertisement. Sometimes, I can get it to stand by itself, but then sometimes I have to keep turning it around to get it to stand by itself. It’s sturdy and mine has a light on the handle, which I like if I come home and the electric is off, I can see how to put the key in the door. I would not order it again.”

Patricia Lowe,

Akron

Little Big Shot Super Nozzle

“My husband bought this hose nozzle for me to use. We tried it two weeks ago when we were washing screens for our home. It works great. It has a lot of power but is very easy to turn from tiny spray to full long straight spray. It is great for watering flowers, plants and for filling the watering bucket! I would definitely recommend buying it.”

Sharon Senn,

Doylestown

“I really like this item. ... The nozzle is lightweight and easy on my achy wrists. It produces a spray that shoots a long way for watering hanging baskets and yet is just as easy to water a pot that is at your feet.”

Barbara Noonan,

Tallmadge
