The sixth annual Primavara Ethnic Festival will be at 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. today at Presentation of Our Lord Romanian Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Road, Fairlawn.
The festival will include ethnic foods and pastries, imported beers and wines, an international café, an Ethiopian coffee bar, ethnic dancers, live music, a world gift market, Romanian arts and crafts, children’s activities and an early evening wine tasting for adults. The event will also include Ethiopian coffee and Romanian pancake-making demonstrations.
The local parish, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, was the first Romanian Orthodox church in Akron. The historically Romanian community has expanded to include members from every part of the world.
