Taste of Ancient Greece and Rome — 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Crystal Room Bistro, Gallucci Hall on Grant Street, University of Akron. Will feature tastes and experiences associated with Greek and Roman dining practices. There will be performances, a silent auction of classically inspired art created by students of UA’s Myers School of Art and more. This is a fundraising event for the Akron-Kent chapter of the Archaeological Institute of America. Tickets are $40, $35 for members of the Archaeological Institute of America, $30 for students. The Imagine the PAWSibilities Rummage Sale — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Stow-Kent Shopping Plaza, 4301 Kent Road, Stow. All proceeds go to helping rescue and find homes for neglected, abused and abandoned animals at PAWSibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron. Continues 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Canton Fine Arts Associates 2nd Annual Springtacular Style Show and Luncheon — 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wilkof Courtyard of the Canton Museum of Art, 1001 Market Ave. N. “Fashionable” event will feature the latest spring offerings from Christopher and Banks Clothing, at Belden Village Mall, and It’s A Dusey Boutique from Jackson Township.
