Northeast Ohio is getting another home show.

The Cleveland Home + Remodeling Expo makes its inaugural run at the new Cleveland Convention Center from Friday through March 16. It’s the fourth major home show in the region this winter, coming on the heels of the NARI Home Improvement Show and Great Big Home + Garden Show, both at Cleveland’s I-X Center, and the Akron Home and Flower Show at the John S. Knight Center.

But the show’s manager, Rosanna Hrabnicky, believes there’s room for one more.

This show is aimed specifically at people who have a project in mind, she said. Showgoers can talk with builders and remodelers and gather trend information, she said.

Besides, the show will give visitors a chance to check out the new convention center, she said. “I mean, how cool is that?”

The show will be open from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. next Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 16 at the center, 300 Lakeside Ave.

Among the highlights will be decorated room vignettes, an Ultimate Garage and a Grow Cleveland pavilion focusing on small-space gardening.

Nicole Curtis of the HGTV and DIY Network series Rehab Addict will make stage appearances Friday and next Saturday. So will Ramsin Khachi, a Canadian television personality. Ty Pennington, formerly of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, will be onstage next Saturday.

Tickets are $10 at the door or $8 in advance at www.homeandremodelingexpo.com, Discount Drug Mart stores or AAA locations. Seniors 65 and older pay $8, and children 6 to 12 are admitted for $5. Younger children get in free.

Admission is free next Saturday only for military members and veterans with military ID.
