AlterPet Inc., P.O. Box 552, Sharon Center, OH 44274, provides subsidized spay and neuter assistance for pets of low-income owners.
It is seeking donations of Acme Community Cash Back register receipts, pet food, pet care supplies and UPCs from Our Family products (Buehler’s), Dad’s pet foods, Dick Van Patten’s Natural Balance pet foods and Cloud Star biscuits. In addition, it encourages donors to shop at iGive.com or OneCause.com, which give a percentage of purchases to the organization.

Firestone Park United Methodist Church, 250 N. Firestone Blvd., Akron, OH 44301, is seeking donations for clients of its weekly Free Lunch/Dinner Mission.
The church needs personal hygiene items such as toothpaste, face and bath soaps, laundry detergent and toilet paper, as well as canned and nonperishable goods such as soup, spaghetti sauce, pasta, noodles, vegetables and stew. Items may be dropped off from 9 a.m. to noon weekdays.
