Goodwill Industries 8th Annual Taste of Vintage Gala Fundraiser — 6-9 p.m. at Quaker Station, 135 S. Broadway, Akron. There will be food tastings, an auction and a fashion show. Proceeds will support Goodwill’s mission to help individuals prepare for, find and retain employment. Tickets are $75 per person or $100-$250 for patron level. Night at the Museum Fundraiser — 6-9 p.m. at the Massillon Museum, 121 Lincoln Way E. Wine and beer sampling, restaurant stations, silent and live auctions and photo booth. If desired, dress as your favorite character from the 2006 Night at the Museum movie or your favorite Massillon Museum artifact. $75. The Women’s History Project of the Akron Area 30th Anniversary Luncheon — 12:30 p.m. at Greystone Hall, 103 S. High St., Akron. Keith Dambrot, University of Akron basketball coach, will speak. The luncheon marks the merger of the Women’s History Project of the Akron Area with the Summit County Historical Society. Tickets are $30 per person. Reservations are required. Kent State University at Stark Annual Turkey Trot — at Kent State Stark, 6000 Frank Ave. NW, Jackson Township. The Kids’ Fun Run will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration at 7:30 a.m. Registration fee is $10 per person. The adult 5K race begins at 9 a.m. with registration at 7:45 a.m. and a fee of $22.50 per person. Register and pay online at www.stark.kent.edu/turkeytrot.

Junior League of Akron Early Bird Bustle Family Fun Run/Walk — 8:30 a.m. at Old Trail School, 2315 Ira Road, Akron. The event will help support and raise awareness of a multiyear education initiative on childhood obesity and nutrition. Event ticket prices are $25 per person. 27th Annual Welcome Santa Holiday Parade — The City of Akron Recreation Bureau is seeking parade units for the 27th Annual Welcome Santa Holiday Parade on Main Street in downtown Akron on Nov. 30. The parade steps off at 11 a.m. Parade categories include marching bands, youth groups, animal units, specialty units, floats, costumed characters, and novelty units. Blanket Donations — The office of Edward Jones at 4902 Erie Ave. SW, Navarre, will be collecting new or clean used blankets, comforters, bedspreads, sleeping bags (anything to give warmth to a homeless person). Drop-off is available until Dec. 16. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, with a lunch closure from noon to 1 p.m. daily.
