Entries are sought for the Streetsboro Quilt Guild’s 31st annual quilt show, coming up in October.
Anyone can enter a quilt or quilted item. Although it’s a judged show, entrants can choose to display quilts without having them judged.
The fee is $3 per item for entries submitted by Tuesday and $6 each for entries submitted later. An entry form can be printed at http://streetsboroquiltguild.com.

The quilt show will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 4 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 5 at Faith Baptist Church, state Route 43 and Frost Road, Streetsboro. Admission is $5.
Wrapping contest
Sept. 22 is the deadline is entering the 17th annual Scotch Brand Most Gifted Wrapper Contest.
The annual contest pits top gift wrappers in a competition in New York City. Eight finalists get a three-day trip to New York for the Dec. 6 competition, and the winner receives $10,000.

Take video inventory
Here’s a handy suggestion from the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America: Use your smartphone to create a video of every room of your home, showing all your possessions.
If your home is ever destroyed in a fire or other disaster, that documentation will help you create an inventory of your possessions when you file your claim.
Don’t forget to open drawers and doors to let that phone peek inside closets, cupboards and other storage spaces.
