Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University is being offered at seven Akron area locations beginning this month.
The goal of the nine-week course, which meets once a week, is to provide participants with practical tools to manage finances. Lessons include budgeting, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies and investing.
Ramsey created the course in 1994 after he attained a net worth of $1 million and lost everything. Ramsey is a New York Times best-selling author, syndicated radio program and television show host and motivational speaker. He is credited with helping more than 1.5 million families make positive financial changes via Financial Peace University.
