Prayer walk at Malone University

The Multicultural Alumni Association of Malone University will host its annual prayer walk from 10 a.m. to noon today on the university campus, 2600 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton.

The goal of the walk, which is free and open to the public, is to pray for the university community and the city of Canton. Participants will walk the perimeter of the campus while praying. Refreshments will be served and those attending are asked to wear comfortable shoes and clothing and to bring a small Bible or pocket testament.

Malone is a Christian liberal arts university affiliated with the Evangelical Friends Church. It offers both undergraduate and graduate degree programs in more than 100 academic areas.

Support groups

The Chapel — 135 Fir Hill, Akron. 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Parents of Prodigals, a Christian-based support group for parents with teen or adult prodigal children, will meet in the Great Commission Room. Guest speaker is Wes Fair, director of Safe Landing.
