Friday

Friends of Akron Children’s Hospital Harness Race Rally — 7 p.m. at Northfield Park, 10705 Northfield Road, Northfield. Raffle tickets on sale around the area for $1 each. Winners are drawn during the harness races at Northfield Park. Proceeds will benefit the School & Community Oncology Outreach Program (S.C.O.O.P.). 330-543-0137.

Saturday

A Midsummer Night’s Dream — 8 p.m. at the University of Akron Martin Center, 105 Fir Hill Road. Sponsored by the Kappa Foundation and the Zeta Theta Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., to benefit the DOVE program of Summa Health Systems, addressing domestic violence. Bike MS Pedal to the Point Ride — Departing from Brunswick High School, 3581 Center Road, Brunswick, from 6:30-8:30 a.m. Saturday.
