The Beacon Journal asked readers to share their thoughts on products we are testing for our “Does It Work?” series. Here’s what they had to say:

Sunny Seat Window Mounted Cat Bed

“I purchased my cat bed over a year ago and my husband thought I was crazy because we have a dog! Bella, our cairn terrier, loves it! She’s excited every time I open the blinds to set it up. She uses a chair set beside it to get on. It’s the best 20 bucks I’ve spent on my pet. I would suggest that you snap it up! I’m sure cats would love it, too!”

— Melissa Sandor,
Akron

GripGo

“I was very excited to get the GripGo car phone mount. I hated having to hold my phone to keep it in a good place. Even when using speaker phone, I wanted my hands free to drive. It held on so tight (on my windshield), I couldn’t get my phone off, many times snapping the arm out of the holder, having the arm in my hand instead of just my phone.

“The directions did say if it was too sticky to rub it on your clothing to buff it up. After doing this, I lost my phone many times on the floor, because it wasn’t sticky enough. So, I washed it to make it sticky again.

“I also found in the coldest times, the suction cup could not hold on to the window. I am not happy with my purchase ...”

— Denise J. Pierce, Streetsboro

“Not only did my GripGo fall off the windshield, but my phone would not stay on the tacky spot. ... This product is totally useless!! I hope I have saved others the headache of buying this product.”

Louise Udovich,

Akron

“I have used the GripGo car phone mount twice a day for the last six weeks, for my commute from Akron to Cleveland . ... The GripGo works as advertised and is well worth the money I spent.

“I have only two little issues. The first two to three weeks, I think I needed to use a crow bar to get my cellphone off the grippy pad but now I can do it with one hand pretty easily.

“The second issue is I didn’t need the tacky seed start kit (egg carton) they sent along as a free gift.”

— Dirk Hiney,
Independence

Rabbit TV

“It is essentially a screen of links to existing Internet streaming pages. Yet they are selling somehow.”

— Eddie Vidmar,
Akron
