A dancer turned interior designer is bringing what she calls a New York City shopping experience to Hudson.
Nadia Wearsch, a former dancer with the New York City Ballet, recently opened a boutique and design service called Interiors Inc. at 234 N. Main St. The shop offers classic and modern pieces that reflect the blend of sophistication and irreverence Wearsch says she brings to her design work.
The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.
Invasive plant app
An app that helps citizen scientists report suspected invasive plants and other organisms in our region is now available for iPhones and iPads.
The free app, from the Great Lakes Early Detection Network, lets you upload images and locations of suspected invasive species for experts to confirm. It was previously available only for Android devices.
The app can be used for reporting plants, insects, fish, mammals, mollusks and crustaceans. It can also be used to report suspected diseases such as white-nose syndrome in bats and thousand cankers disease in walnut trees.
The region covered by the app comprises Ohio, New York, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Pennsylvania.

Window treatment contest
ZebraBlinds, an online retailer that sells window treatments, is giving away a $1,000 gift card each week through July 28 in its Home Life Picture Contest.
