Fanfare 2013: Stompin’ at the Savoy — 6 p.m. at Greystone Hall, 103 S. High St., Akron. Hors d’oeuvres, comedy show, auction, strolling dinner in the ballroom. Boy Scout Troop 118 Breakfast Buffet — 7:30-11 a.m. at Manchester United Methodist Church, 5625 Manchester Road, New Franklin. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, hash browns, sausage gravy and biscuits, coffee and juice. $6.50 adults, $5.50 seniors and children 12 or younger.

Stewart’s Caring Place: Cancer Wellness Center’s Hope Walk — Registration begins at 8 a.m., walk at 9:15 a.m. at Fairlawn Community Center, Bicentennial Park, 3486 S. Smith Road, Fairlawn. Pawsibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron’s Bark in the Park — 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Springfield Lake Park, 2459 Canfield Road, Akron. A one-mile walk for humans and pets. Proceeds will help animals that are victims of cruelty, neglect, illness and injury, plus provide adoption services, education and community outreach programs. $5. www.summithumane.org.

Guys & Dolls Behind the Scenes — 6 p.m. at Great Lakes Theater Scene & Prop Shop. 1920s attire encouraged.
