Try food truck fare
Head to Norton on Friday for the city’s first Food Truck Round Up.
Five local food trucks will park at the lot at 3230 Greenwich Road, from 5 to 9 p.m., where they will be cooking and serving a variety of cuisines, including Cajun, Mexican, barbecue and creative American.
Plant sale and seminar
Replenish your garden and your mind at the Wilderness Center’s annual Native Plant Sale & Gardening Seminar next weekend.
Native plants of all types will be available for purchase from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. next Sunday. They’re ideal for adding easy-care beauty to a garden and attracting wildlife.

On Saturday only, educational seminars will be offered for $5 each. The lineup is Perennials: Planning, Planting and Maintenance and Milkweed: One Important “Weed,” both at 10 a.m., and Plant Propagation: Seeds, Cuttings and Divisions and Gardening With Native Plants, both at 11:15. Advance registration is encouraged at 877-359-5235, but walk-ins are also accepted.
In addition, you can join a free wildflower walk from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday.

TV talk, Cleveland style
Three comedy pros from Cleveland will be in the Louis Stokes Wing of the Cleveland Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to discuss “Who We Are: Comedy, Tragedy, & Cleveland.” The panel announcement says “they will examine the development of Cleveland’s identity through the collective experiences of the people who live here.”
Participating are Community co-star Yvette Nicole Brown, who is also a University of Akron alumna; Dan O’Shannon, an executive producer of ABC’s hit Modern Family and a veteran comedy writer; and writer-comedian Dave Hill. Mike McIntyre will moderate. Admission is free.
Learn home winemaking
Want to learn how to make wine at home?
The Winery at Wolf Creek is offering a class from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, on the process, wine styles, testing and equipment.
Participants can sample up to four wines and enjoy a glass of their choice, along with snacks. Winemaker Carrie Bonvallet will lead a cellar tour.

Hit the road
The Fishcreek Raccoon Run in Stow has events Friday through Sunday. It begins with a packet pick-up and health fair on Friday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Fishcreek Elementary School, followed on Saturday with a pasta banquet at Heritage Barn in Silver Springs Park. Sunday’s events include a 5K race, a pancake breakfast, and a 1-mile fun run/walk.
